A March day told without a single face — through outfits, hands and traditions.

Cover: the couple’s hands held tight, rings on their fingers, in black and white

This story shows no one, and yet everything is there. Two outfits waiting for their moment, two rings exchanged in front of a red and white flag, hands that no longer let go, a hall getting ready for the party. A day in March, in the order it was lived.

Chapter I

I.Him

In the morning, everything is laid out on the marble mantelpiece: black shoes on their box, the belt, the bow tie, the perfume. On the rail, two looks for one day — the black suit and the ivory jacket embroidered with silver thread, with matching slippers.

II.The rings

In front of the red and white Tunisian flag, the ring passes from one hand to the other. A tiny gesture that changes everything.

Chapter III

III.Their hands

Then there are only their hands: his closed over the bride’s, resting on the white pearl-embroidered dress, the two rings answering each other. You don’t need to see more.

Chapter IV

IV.The hall

In the evening, the hall is dressed in white and pink. The couple’s throne under the letters “LOVE”, round tables crowned with white bouquets, and the buffet waiting for the guests.

On a small table, the things that are handed down: a mirrored box, candles, white flowers, baskets of red roses. The objects of a tradition that carries the party through to the end of the night.

The film

The same moments, in motion — still without a single face.

The end.

Thank you to A. and G. for letting us tell their day — without a single face, but with everything else.
