A June day in Lyon, told from the first gesture to the last dance.

Some weddings fit into a single image. Abdel and Alexia’s did not. A June day in Lyon, a bright light, big and laughing families — and two people who, from morning until night, never stopped looking for each other. Here is their day, in the order they lived it.
Chapter I
I.The morning
It all begins with the objects: the heels set down by the roses, the perfume, the necklace waiting in its case. Then comes the dress, adjusted by careful hands, and that particular silence that settles in the room just before leaving. Alexia is getting ready to become the memory everyone will keep.

« Then silence settles in the room. »
Chapter II
II.Him
Meanwhile, Abdel fastens his cufflinks, while his loved ones handle the tie knot like a matter of state. A double-breasted suit, a handkerchief folded and refolded between his fingers: elegance lies in the details, emotion in the hands.

Chapter III
III.The town hall
A red room, gilded frames, a white bouquet. A few words spoken, a signature, and the kiss that brings the whole room to its feet. On the way out, they cross the threshold together, to applause — united for life.

« A few words, for a whole life. »
Chapter IV
IV.The families
There are those who were there before, and those who will be there after. Bridesmaids in soft colours, groomsmen in light suits, parents, childhood friends: a wedding is also the portrait of a whole world gathered for one day.

Chapter V
V.The park
Then comes the hour you keep for just the two of you. An hour with no one around, between the paths, the boxwood and the stone. Their eyes meet, time stops, and nothing else exists around them. This is often where the images you hang on your wall are born.

« In that moment, nothing else exists around them. »
Chapter VI
VI.The party
At nightfall, Alexia changes dresses: an evening gown scattered with light. On the dance floor, the smoke rises, hearts slow down, the first dance is written slowly. And like every beautiful story, this one ends on a sweet note — a cake, sparklers, bursts of laughter.

The film
The same moments — only now they move. An excerpt from the film of their day.
The end.
Thank you to Abdel and Alexia for letting us tell their story.
